Space Program

Follow-up on space issues.  Barrack Obama doesn’t have a plan for space.  Actualy, he is delaying a space program for five years in order to pay for education.  The most recent information I could find about an actual plan http://www.spacepolitics.com/2008/01/02/obama-clarifies-his-space-policy/ is from January 2008.  Currently Russia, China, Pakistan, Cuba, Iran and Venezuela are rapidly developing a space program.  The U.S. has contracts with Russia from 2011 to 2016 to carry American astronauts into space according to Nasa.  http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/space/08/14/nasa.russia.soyuz/index.html  Do we really want to be behind these countries in terms of space superiority?  I would like to hear a current plan by the Obama camp.  For contrast, here is John McCain’s plan for our space program http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/576839/john_mccains_space_program.html

Ultimately my question is……….Where will the change be?  Do we really want to rely on Russia for a space program?  Here is Russia’s plans for space http://www.reuters.com/article/scienceNews/idUSTRE49K2VC20081021?feedType=RSS&feedName=scienceNews&rpc=22&sp=true
