GM goes viral! Found this on Drudge.

Explanation for my last two posts.

No, I am not angry that Obama was elected president. I think its fantastic and the song by the Roots “seed 2.0″ is symbolic of america’s Infancy. This president will face challenges of historic proportion on all fronts. So? What am I angry about? Its the holidays and my world has shrunk to historic proportions. After the divorce I feel guilty that my son won’t grow up with a single solid family unit. See, if I would have known the way my poor choices would have affected my son….I wouldn’t have made them. Hindsight is 20/20. That said…..its not all doom and gloom. Lots of children were raised by co-parents. We have the hope of a new president. Just today the stock market rallied with the dow up 550 points. There are many things to be thankful for, so happy Thanksgiving. As we read the paper and watch the news…..everybody is acting like America is sick and we are all bad americans. Not true. Everything will be ok just watch. Even if it doesn’t turn out peachy we will drive on. After all….we are all drinking from a well we did not dig. Worst case scenario, we take the lesson from history and dig our own well.

The Seed 2.0

You bet Im mad.

Kids!  They are born with everything they NEED to know.  We teach them the rest.  Having a son has been the most enlightening experience I have ever had.  I am learning every bit as much as I am teaching and there is no better mirror on the planet.

Colorado Ballot Issues

Here is a good link for the ballot initiatives.  Its obviously written by a dem but is a good reference nonetheless.  I think its a good idea to restore equality, keep unions in our workplace (even though I have never needed representation), outlaw abortions (want to see how much the birth rate increases and how fast clinics sprout in border states), decrease gambling, increase funding for the disabled, lock in I-70 funding, ban contractors from giving gifts and increase funding for education.

Domestic Consequences of Modern Ethnocentric Feminism (MEF)

At risk of silence and slander, what are we to do?  Increasingly there have been stories in the news rags about Post Partum Depression, Bi Polar disorder etc.  There are many stories about women with Munchhausen disease hurting children for attention.  Mothers are killing their children or attempting it all across our country.  Here is an article from this morning http://www.cbs46.com/news/17767898/detail.html This woman wasn’t even charged with attempted murder.  Of course, these enemies of the state are finding leniency in their home courts and police departments.  Why?  What do they do with men that commit the same crimes?  Why does there seem to be an increase in this type of crime when there are more programs than ever available to help women with children?  Another side is this….. http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/family/10/17/parenting.moms.jealous/index.html Why does the author think there should be a competition for the affection and respect of her child?  Why is there an decrease in vaginal delivery and time spent breast feeding?  Why are women claiming that there are mixed messages for being a mom?  Where do these mixed messages come from?  On a personal level I am concerned for not only the safety and well being of my child, I am concerned for the mental health of my ex-wife.  I will never forget the domestic violence charge I received as a result of defending myself while getting my child out of the house because she had a manic episode combined with mass amounts of alcohol.  Will never forget the time I came home on a Saturday afternoon to find bags of groceries burning on top of our cooking range.  She was upstairs taking a nap as was my child who’s room was directly above the stove.  She breast fed for 2.5 weeks, had a c section, had ppd which later spiraled into bi-polar disorder even though she was on medication.  I will never forget the sexual misconduct and promiscuous behavior with none other than our next door neighbor.  Will never forget the huge amounts of money and financial problems associated with this woman at a time when all of our financial futures are in question.  All this and not one hiccup at work?  In fact….she got three promotions in our time together.  I don’t normally write about this kind of stuff but feel that it is becoming increasingly relevant.  If you don’t like my story……look these subjects up on the Internet….there are tons of them.  In order to understand the ideology, I recommend starting here http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/30/magazine/30feminism.html

You (the reader) may ask yourself some questions.  Why am I writing this?  I certainly don’t desire a costly custody battle.  I just want to know the same thing that a lot of other men want to know.  What happened to my beautiful and smart friend?  Fear isn’t the only thing I saw inside.  There is an inherently good person with enormous potential and a bright future.  Through examination and understanding I want to alleviate anxiety.  Just using my compass to find my way out of the woods.  Pyper Davis says, “push women off that throne, this is not “taking over”: rather, it is a movement toward a truly egalitarian union between husband and wife. Which, of course, is the last thing many women want, including the most vocal “gender-rights” activists. Since the 70s, women have been encouraged to believe that it is their prerogative to gain freedoms and choices without surrendering old privileges that were the flipside of the narrow niche in which they were confined. Ever increasing freedom and recognition, without a bit of concession; and men’s responsibilities and expectations continue to expand, even as the old expectations die hard, if they die at all.”

So?  Lets work it out….whether in public or in private.  The time for marriage is over but how are we to move forward as co-parents when we haven’t even begun to deal with our disastrous marriage?

Space Program

Follow-up on space issues.  Barrack Obama doesn’t have a plan for space.  Actualy, he is delaying a space program for five years in order to pay for education.  The most recent information I could find about an actual plan http://www.spacepolitics.com/2008/01/02/obama-clarifies-his-space-policy/ is from January 2008.  Currently Russia, China, Pakistan, Cuba, Iran and Venezuela are rapidly developing a space program.  The U.S. has contracts with Russia from 2011 to 2016 to carry American astronauts into space according to Nasa.  http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/space/08/14/nasa.russia.soyuz/index.html  Do we really want to be behind these countries in terms of space superiority?  I would like to hear a current plan by the Obama camp.  For contrast, here is John McCain’s plan for our space program http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/576839/john_mccains_space_program.html

Ultimately my question is……….Where will the change be?  Do we really want to rely on Russia for a space program?  Here is Russia’s plans for space http://www.reuters.com/article/scienceNews/idUSTRE49K2VC20081021?feedType=RSS&feedName=scienceNews&rpc=22&sp=true

Time for a new constitution?

Late last week a chinese news story called for a financial new world order sans USA.  Russia has offered to help Cuba build a space program.  Russia has offered to help Venezuela build a peaceful nuclear program.  Venezuela has purchased chinese combat planes and is building a navy with chinese help.  This article

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20080927/tbs-portugal-venezuela-usa-7318940.html

Chavez says its time for us to consider a new constitution.  He says that capitolism is to blame for this mess.  I would take it a step further though and blame fascism.  Our constitution is great and doesn’t need an overhaul.  That and I am sworn to defend it from enemies foriegn and domestic.  There are a lot of us here in the good old USA that feel the same.  There will always be political ideology and different means to an end.  My personal belief is that the new trend will be a conservative swing.  The decline in family values is the other side of this coin.  Predatory lenders and subprime mortgages aren’t the only thing that got us here.
